Latar Belakang (background story)

This is my actual farewell notes to friends/colleagues and boss (dated 24 June 2011). I edited some technical words for conveniences.

Dear all,

As most of you know that I am leaving today, I’d like to thank you for your supports during my 2 years, 11 months and 9 days working with TCI.

I have the choice on how to share my feelings, and I’ll try to do it in a fun way. A cosmopolitan girl like me grew up in the men’s world (mining and construction) and nurtured by good mentors. From zero knowledge in mining until the day a person believed that I am a mining engineer. From zero knowledge in construction until today I know how Coal Processing Plant works. From zero knowledge in power until the day I visited PLN office and prepared the Independent Power Producer prequalification tender submission.

Personally, there are lots of things to learn. As much as I want to continue to participate in the future grow of TCI, this cosmopolitan girl has another chapter in her journey.

Thanks for giving me the chance to grow with such a great team.  I am far from perfect, so please forgive me if I made mistake that I never meant to.

Again thanks for all of your supports, please continue your support to my half twin partner Nenden and my future successor, to Pak Andy Coles and the whole BDE team.

I’d be happy to meet with you again and enjoy fresh Vietnamese coffee.

Best regards,
Veve (Eveline) Kristanti

.....tears coming from my eyes when I drafted these notes, almost dropped when I read this in front of my colleagues at farewell lunch, almost could not stop them when pressed the email button "send".... I felt so guilty when one my close friends said she cried after I left the office...
